Mothers Union Department
1. We have opened an office in our North Kigezi Diocese Maternal and Health Centre where we are providing counselling services to both parents and children alike
2. We have a team of dedicated workers that regularly visits all parishes within our Diocese(70) to teach all women in different aspects of live and run a family life programme
3. We have a local radio programme (amaka marungi) which goes out every Sunday evening on Radio Rukungiri dealing with all aspects of family living.
4. We have a Vocational Training Centre where girls who cannot afford to go to further education in Secondary Schools and Institutions due to a lack of school fees are trained in Secretarial, Tailoring, Knitting and Home Management Skills
5. It is our plan to renovate our current office and also to provide for a small extension.
6. Our needs are always great and currently we urgently need
Funds to purchase a Mini Bus to collect children and mothers from village locations.
More sewing machines, typewriters, printers and computers for students.
We also need funds to purchase a hand loom machine and new knitting machines.
